A luxury hardcover photo book for an 18th birthday, designed and printed in under three weeks. The client provided 2,500 photographs. I curated 250 of the strongest images, sequenced them into a visual narrative, and designed the full book.
The format follows the TASCHEN model: oversized, photo-only, no captions. The layout relies on image scale and sequencing to carry the story. Full-bleed hero spreads anchor each section. Smaller images are grouped in pairs or triptychs where the relationship between shots matters more than any single frame.
The cover is linen-wrapped with debossed type, printed on premium uncoated stock. I sourced the printer, specified materials, managed proofs, and coordinated delivery to the Netherlands on deadline.
This was the second personal book commission in a row. Both required the same discipline: take raw material from someone's life and give it the editorial structure and production quality of a published volume.
